CWS Recognized Raymond Corp. with Award

RAYMOND RECEIVES RECOGNITION THROUGH SALLY MERRILL AWARD
GREENE, N.Y. — Over the past 35 years, CWS Packaging has provided fabrication and assembly services to The Raymond Corporation in Greene, N.Y. To show appreciation for the strategic nature and significant longevity of the partnership and for Raymond’s help in enhancing CWS’ mission, CWS presented Raymond with the prestigious and coveted honor of the Sally Merrill Award.
“CWS strives to create a strategic relationship with all of its customers, providing a collaborative effort while simultaneously enhancing the success of the company itself and the mission it serves,” says Jason Lasicki, sales manager for CWS. “Very few relationships have been as successful and as long as the relationship CWS has realized with Raymond. It is out of appreciation and respect for this relationship that CWS presented this special recognition to Raymond.”George Raymond Jr. had gained awareness of the vocational work that CWS was doing in the early 1970s. Raymond Jr. became an advocate for the program, as well as being instrumental in engaging CWS to perform services for Raymond beginning in 1976. In fact, as work flowed between the two firms, the employees of Raymond began to label product from the Community Work Shop as CWS in an effort to save time, thus, giving the vocational program the name itoperates under and is known by today.
The Sally Merrill Award is named after Sally Merrill, who was one of the founding members of the Board of Directors for the Chenango County ARC (dba CWS) and still serves on the board today. Merrill was instrumental in defining the community need that existed for the underserved uniquely gifted population of Chenango County and the surrounding areas. Merrill herself had ason whom benefitted from the program that she helped successfully develop to benefit both the Mission of the CWS, as well as the business community.

CWS partners with Virtuweld® for secure, eco-friendly packaging

We at CWS Contract Packaging are excigted to announce our latest partnership to provide Virtuweld® tamper-resistant packaging by Mister Blister.

Virtuweld was developed to meet an increasing need for tamper resistant packaging in all retail sectors. It adds product security without the hassle of sealing processes.

Just as important, it’s made from recycled materials, helping you reduce your carbon footprint and improve marketing to critical sectors.

Virtuweld is a conventional clam pack designed so that the back manually clips firmly into the front. The secure closure is then enhanced by a stitch-welded effect that creates the illusion that the pack is actually welded. It also requires no automated processes, giving your greater flexibility in packaging and sealing.

Virtuweld packs can be customised to allow easy access by the consumer once purchased.

Historically, product security has often meant extra packaging, extra processes and extra distribution costs. The partnership of CWS with Virtuweld means you no longer have to make that compromise.

Contact us to let us explain its other benefits.

CWS Achieves ISO9001:2008 Certification Upgrade

CWS is proud to announce it has attained the ISO9001:2008 certification and congratulates its employees for making this accomplishment possible.

“We are not running jobs on our production floors; we are creating quality-driven value to our customers. Operational optimization, flexibility and attention to detail is ubiquitous,” said Sales Manager Jason Lasicki. “These are more than beliefs that the company holds, they are mantras that are lived and executed in every facet of the organization.”

As a leader in the contract packaging industry, CWS understands its customers and prospects place a great deal of faith and confidence in how their products, programs and personnel are serviced. Quality, communication, efficiency are CWS hallmarks.

CWS received notification Dec. 9 from Intertek, the chosen ISO auditing body, that CWS had met all requirements to achieve the 2008 standards. The upgraded certification requires additional protocols to be established to enhance the quality management system, expand customer service communication, and hold the company to greater global regulatory standards.

CWS believes in creating and providing the best outsourcing experience to the pharmaceutical, medical device, cosmetic, HBA and retail industries; it has been doing so for more than 46 years.
